At present, the main pollutant of synthetic leather enterprises is the liquid residue from recovery kettles. The current treatment method is high-temperature incineration at a solid waste incineration station approved by the Environmental Protection Bureau, with an incineration cost of about 2,500 RMB per ton, imposing a heavy environmental burden on enterprises.

This system is designed for the thorough treatment of liquid residue from recovery kettles. It can force-evaporate liquid residue to form solid residue (95% solid phase, 5% liquid phase), while fully recovering DMF from the liquid residue. This improves the recovery rate of DMF products and reduces residue discharge, making it an environmental protection product for "emission reduction".

The residue drying system is an environmental protection project. The main components of dry residue include solids in the residue, wood powder, cloth fibers, CaCO₃, as well as some small-molecule PU, additives, and their carbides and polymers, accounting for about 40%. This dry residue can be mixed with boiler fuel coal for high-temperature combustion or disposed of along with coal slag; another approach is to send the dry residue to a waste residue landfill or incineration site for treatment.

It can also be applied to solvent desalination systems.
